Lady Dolphins Fall Late in Region Tournament at Fayetteville Tech 71-66. Rivera Leads With 24 Points

The Brunswick Community College Lady Dolphins traveled to Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC, on March 3rd for the first round of the Region 10-D2 Tournament. The game remained tight from start to finish, with the score tied at 17 by the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Lady Dolphins surged ahead with a 23-8 run, taking a 40-25 lead at halftime. However, the momentum shifted in the third quarter as the host Trojans rallied with a 25-10 run to even the score by the end of the period. The fourth quarter was intense, with the Trojans continuing to ride their momentum to secure a six-point victory, ultimately winning 71-66. Chelsea Rivera led the Lady Dolphins in scoring with 24 points, followed by Destiney Mitchell with 14 points, and Princess Canady and Kayia Starling, who each contributed 11 points.
