Dolphins Men Drop First Game of East Georgia State College Classic

The Brunswick CC Dolphins Men's Basketball team fell to defending Georgia JUCO champion and 2023 National Tournament participant South Georgia State College 64-50 on Friday night in the first game of the East Georgia State College Classic in Swainsboro, GA. In a close low scoring first half the Dolphins trailed at the half 26-22 when the Hawks scored at the halftime buzzer. In the second half the Hawks capitalized on their size advantage to dominate inside and determine the final score. The Dolphins were playing without 6'9 All-American center Khouri Carvey who was out with an injury. Tyre Boykin led the Dolphins with 12 points and in his first action of the season after returning from injury freshman point guard Kevon Vanderhorst had 11. The Dolphins play the host team East Georgia State College Saturday at 5 pm.
