Dolphins take the split in North Myrtle Beach

Game 1: Brunswick Dolphins vs Danville Area Jaguars 1-6 L

The Dolphins fell behind in the second and couldn't recover even with three hits in the last inning to score the only run.

Zoie Hamilton pitched through five innings, allowing 5 hits and 1 walk, with Savannah Birdsong coming in relief the last two innings, shutting the Jaguar's offense down.

Madison Strichek and Jenna Davis put a pair of hits together, allowing Ava Hinson to hit a screaming line drive to the right field that scored Strichek.

Game 2: Brunswick Dolphins vs Howard Dragons 11-10 W

The Dolphins put on an offensive show with 17 hits on the night. The Dolphins got off to an early lead with an in-the-park homerun by Zoie Hamilton in the second inning, followed by a triple from Madison Strichek. The Dolphins score the majority of the runs in the sixth inning with doubles four Dolphins (Annalise Rodriguez, Emma Roberts, Zoie Hamilton, & Victoria Howard).

Ava Hinson lead the defense on the mound with one earned run facing 21 batters. Hinson held the Dragons to 4 runs with 4 strikeouts in 4 innings. Emily Jones and Savannah Birdsong collected a combined 3 innings to stop the dragon's comeback. Birdsong came in the last inning to secure the last two outs with two strikeouts.

The Dolphins play their first home series as a full member of Region 10 DII since 2020 this weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
