Dolphins Split Games at Southeastern

Game 1: Brunswick Dolphins vs Southeastern Rams 1-4 L

 

The Dolphins played a strong six innings, but couldn't recover from the 4 runs the Rams scored in the first inning. The Dolphins had a perfect game defensively with zero errors.

 

Madison Strichek recorded two of the three hits the dolphins had. Including the only double, a stolen base, and the only run scored. The Dolphins stranded a lead off hit on second base in the fifth inning, after Riley Gladden laid down a sac bunt to move Emma Roberts into scoring position.

 

Savannah Birdsong led the game on the rubber recording four strikeouts, keeping the Rams scoreless through the last five innings of the game.

 

Game 2: Brunswick Dolphins vs Southeastern Rams 9-1W

 

The Dolphins washed away the Rams, putting on a great performance on the mound and in the box. Zoie Hamilton had a no hitter through the 4th inning, only giving up a single in the fifth inning. Hamilton recorded five strikeouts on the day. Jenna Davis led the offense for the Fins with two doubles and a single, scoring 4 RBIs.

 

The Dolphins passed the bat with hits throughout the line up with nine hits by Jenna Davis, Zoie Hamilton, Lainie Reaves, Emma Roberts, Riley Gladden, and Kaylin Mills. The Fins glided by the Rams with seven stolen bases. Emma Roberts led the pod with three stolen bases, with Hampton, Mills, Davis, and Hamilton all collecting one stolen base.
