2023-2024 Dolphin Softball Season comes to an end

The 2023-2024 BCC Softball season came to an end last week. First year coach Donnie Suttles said, "The season was full of ups and downs this year but what was most rewarding is this group of young ladies never quit." "We probably were playing our best softball at the end of the season." In the last series of the season the Dolphins took two out of three games from the statesmen. A solid team that finished 3rd in last week's Region 10 Conference Tournament. Coach Suttles also said, "The future of the Dolphin program is very bright. We have 18 new freshmen coming in next season that are athletic and are competitors." This will be the first recruiting class for Suttles at BCC. Coach Suttles has also started a new tradition for the softball program doing a team awards banquet following the season. This year's award winners were:

Erin Howdershelt- Freshman of the Year
Kaylin Mills-Gold Glove Award
Anna Rodriguez- Ms. Hustle
Emma Roberts-Utility Player of the Year
Emily Jones- Most Improved
Ava Hinson-Big Arm Award
Jasmine Bishop and Maddie Barns-Team Before Self
Kylie Mikula-Captain Award
Kloe Sellers- Coaches Award
Zoie Hamilton will continue her playing career as she decides in the coming weeks from the many different offers she has.

Freshman of the Year Erin Howdershelt will lead the 2024-25 Dolphin POD next season.
